Double Gold Medal for Tsarine at the 2020 Berliner Wine Trophy

Reims, October 2020

The 24th Berliner Wine Trophy worldwide competition has recognized two of Tsarine’s cuvées:

- gold medal for Tsarine Cuvée Orium

- gold medal for Tsarine Cuvée Premium.

The international competition, one of largest and most important in the world and held under the patronage of the OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) since 2003, took place this year in two sessions — in February and in mid-September — in Berlin, Germany.

This year, 700 international jury members (oenologists, winegrowers, sommeliers, importers, journalists and others) conducted a blind evaluation of 14,000 wines from some forty countries.

For Orium I was aiming at balance in all its purity and at retaining the typical qualities of each grape variety while reducing the amount of added sugar to produce what we call an extra brut…”
